2006 Fancy Food Show report

I was at the 2006 Fancy Food Show and came across lots of great products that are now kosher or will soon be kosher. The show was huge-2 floors with aisles from 100-6000. Tons of walking and any kind of food you could imagine. If you do not keep kosher, you would never be able to get through it all.

Schokinag They make the most awesome drinking chocolates. They are little bits of chocolates that you melt into milk. They introduced Strawberry and Cream. Savannah Bee Company One of Oprah's favorites. Last year at the show I talked to them about going kosher and due to me and some others, they have gone kosher certified. Beautiful bottles and delicious honey in flavors like Tupelo, Wild Georgia, and Black Sage (KSA)

Beit-Yitzhak straight from Israel no sugar fruit spreads include apricot, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, quince, apple and cinnamon and fig. Also a full line of confitures including etrog, wild berry, cherry tomato, peach and others (Hasam Sofer)

Aunt Berta jams and chocolate truffles. The jams were great (the onion jam is a personal favorite) They had a kiwi one and pomegranate jelly. They also had chocolate truffles. (OU)

Dancing Deer Baking Company Delicious all natural baked goods including brownies cakes and cookies. They showed a new line of shortbread cookies like Lemon Daisy, Chocolate Chip, Triple Chocolate Chip and Maple Pecan Nuggets. (Star-D)

Oogie's Gourmet Popcorn in flavors like Sun Dried Tomato and Parmesan, Spicy Chipotle and Lime, Smoked Gouda, Romano and Pesto and White Cheddar. The smoked gouda was different and delicious. All were good. (OU-D)
