Chocolate and Tzedaka-Tour to Israel

I got this email recently. It looks great!

Dear Chocolate and Israel Lovers:

Are you thinking about visiting Israel and looking for something new and interesting to do?
Would you like to spend some time giving back, helping to make Israel a better place for those less fortunate?
And, most important:
Are you a true CHOCOLATE lover?
THEN THIS IS THE TOUR FOR YOU!!

CHOCOLATE AT HEART:

The World's First Chocolate-and-Charity Tour of Israel!

February 3-11, 2008

If a day just isn't complete for you without at least one bite of chocolate for health reasons (even if that's just an excuse) or just because it makes you feel great, then this trip is for you! Do you love eating it, want to learn all about it and, even more, would love to be able to create artistic and delicious chocolate treats yourselves?

This is your chance to do all this, and more - and to do it in Israel!!!

The truth is, there are dozens of boutique chocolatiers throughout Israel, creating countless exquisite and delicious chocolate creations every day, and yet they've barely been heard of overseas.

We are thrilled to introduce you to the world of Israeli gourmet chocolates, as well as a myriad of other culinary treats in this fun tour of the country, from the Mediterranean, up to the hills of Galilee and the Golan and down to the holy city of Jerusalem and beyond.

For 8 fun-filled days and 9 relaxing nights you will discover several of the many fabulous and undiscovered boutique chocolate companies that operate all over Israel

in cities, in kibbutzim, on moshavim.

You will take part in workshops, learn hands-on how to make ganache, truffles, intriguing chocolate sculptures and much more.

You will learn everything there is to know about this wonderful ingredient: Its history, production, uses, types and even health benefits!

And each night, on your pillow, we will surprise you with yet a sample from yet another fabulous chocolate-making enterprise to take home as a delicious souvenir or enjoy on the spot!

And that's not all!

This tour is not only about chocolate!

You will enjoy a host of other culinary experiences such as visiting exclusive and unique wineries, cooking a gourmet meal with one of the country's leading cooking teachers and exploring one of the country's best-stocked kitchen supply stores.

You will stay in some of the country's most luxurious hotels, as well as a few of the exclusive boutique hotels one can find around Israel in some of the smaller, more charming and interesting locations.

You will enjoy 3 meals a day, many of them in small countryside restaurants, in the north and central parts of the country, meat and dairy and of course with delicious chocolate desserts - and all Kosher, of course!

And we have several surprise events in store, still in the planning stages, but sure to delight and excite you!

But there's more!

This trip is not only about touring and eating and shopping. It will also include several opportunities for you to help the less fortunate and meet some of the many people who are involved in amazing tzedakah (charity) projects.

We will visit with Gush Katif evacuees and hold a bridal shower, bringing gifts to some of the young brides from this uprooted population.

We will help prepare and distribute Shabbat meals to needy families.

We will pick farm produce that will then be donated to the poor.

We will distribute chocolates we purchase to some of our young IDF soldiers guarding us at the country's checkpoints.

So be among the first to experience this one-of-a-kind, first-time-ever Israel tour!
